A home for fine dining
When 57 Restaurant came to us for an interior look, there was one rule.
No tired nautical clichés. No blue-and-white stripes, anchors or fish motifs
They wanted something sophisticated—a subtle nod to the building’s maritime heritage without it screaming "shipping yard"
With listed features like porthole doors and an old winch, plus those impressive A-frame beams, the space already had plenty of personality. We leaned into it, building a palette of brass tones, natural woods, and textured finishes.
Ceiling panels pull double duty as acoustic buffers, while the cladding and moody lighting create a cosy, ship’s-bow vibe (without feeling like you’re stuck below deck).
It's a charming balance of nautical grit and elegance—and yes, the food’s as delicious as the space!
